Biography:
While studying law, Farnita was a member of National Black Law Student's Association, Phi Alpha Delta, and Phi Delta Phi International Legal Honor Society. Farnita also practiced litigation skills and won two awards as "Best Advocate" in mock trials in Trial Advocacy Litigation as judged by current Fourth Judicial Circuit Court Director Mark Caliel and Former Assistant State Attorney and current Fourth Judicial Circuit Judge John Guy. Farnita received top student awards in Practice and Professionalism and Alternative Dispute Resolution, including varied mediation techniques for resolving disputes. Farnita completed legal externships with the City of Jacksonville's Human Rights Commission and the Jacksonville Area Legal Aid (JALA).

Prior to attending law school, Farnita worked with Marie A. Mattox, P.A. firm as a Legal Assistant and returned to the firm as a Law Clerk prior to admission to the Florida Bar.

Farnita is currently a member of the Young Lawyers Division of the Florida Bar, the Tallahassee Black Women Lawyers, and the Tallahassee Bar Association.
